Oak Flat Lookout was used for many years by the Forest Service to spot forest fires. It is now available for overnight use, and i thought it would be a great place to have our annual guys outing.
My trip didn't start well, I got a flat tire on highway 5, which took 3 hours for me to get my spare on and find a place to replace the limited spare with a full sized tire. Needless to say, I arrived MUCH later than I hoped to the lookout, which was around 7:30pm.
